Academic Recognitions

National ChengChi University (NCCU) is one of Taiwan’s premier universities and was chosen by the Ministry of Education as one of the top 12 universities in the nation.
The University’s College of Commerce is Taiwan’s oldest and most prestigious business school and is the largest academic unit among the nine colleges that make up NCCU.  As a public institution, the college is committed to delivering quality education and academic research, and its efforts have been widely recognized by the academic community, industry and government.
The College has been consistently ranked as the top business school in Taiwan and boasts one of the largest, best trained business faculties in the region. The College’s Master in Management program is the only program of its type in Taiwan that was ranked by the Financial Times and was ranked among the top 50 worldwide in 2012 and 2013.
The college of commerce is the only institution in Taiwan accredited by both the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and by EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). The college’s accounting program also earned AACSB’s accounting accreditation in 2013. The college is also accredited by the Chinese Management Association’s Accreditation of Chinese Collegiate School of Business (ACCSB).
Considered one of the top centers for business research in Taiwan, the College’s Accounting, Business Administration, and Risk Management and Insurance departments are national leaders in their respective fields. The Accounting Department has historically held a key position in Taiwan. Many of its professors have served as president of the Taiwan Accounting Association, which is the largest and the most influential academic accounting association in Taiwan. Moreover, the department’s faculty members hold the key position (e.g., chairperson, chief editor) in two of the three major Chinese accounting journals, including the International Journal of Accounting Studies.
The Business Administration Department is well known for its focus on strategic management research.  Research studies by Professor Had-Hsian Seetoo and Professor Se-Hwa Wu in the field of strategy have been very influential in their contribution to business management education in Taiwan and have developed strategic matrix analysis and management matrices, used in evaluating business dynamics which have become widely adopted by the business community in Taiwan. The Risk Management and Insurance Department has been recognized not only as the leading center for research in this field, but also as the premier hub for risk management research in Asia.
