Faculty

NCCUC currently has 148 full-time faculty members; 92% of whom received their doctoral degrees from globally prestigious universities. This first-rate faculty’s research output has won awards for outstanding research, outstanding researchers, research projects from the National Science Council of Taiwan - numerous times, as well as multiple awards from Academia Sinica’s Young Researchers’ Research Award and the EMERALD. Professor Huang Tzee-Ming from the department of Statistics and professor Jean Ruey-Jer from the department of International Business were awarded the Ta-You Wu Memorial Award, and professor Wu Anne from the department of Accounting was granted the 56th annual academic award presented by the Ministry of Education; professor Wu Feng-Shang from the Graduate Institute of Technology and Innovation Management was awarded the honor of being the 13th Academician of the Chinese Society for Management of Technology.

In addition, many NCCUC professors serve as editor-in-chief, co-editor, and/or panel editors of many important local and international journals. Outside academia, many professors play important roles in the industrial and governmental sectors of Taiwan, including the Office of the President (ROC), Executive Yuan consultants and committee members, inspectors of trustee corporations, and chairmen or senior management of companies such as Taiwan Sugar Corporation, the Bank of Taiwan, etc. Even the current President and Vice-President of Taiwan, Ma, Ying-Jeou and Siew, Vincent C. have taught at NCCUC.
